Marvel Releases Ed McGuinness' Incredible Hulk #600 Cover Art

This July, the Hulk smashes through his 600th issue, a milestone worthy of the Green Goliath. If the release of Marvel Comics’ Incredible Hulk #600 ($4.99) weren’t enough in its own right, the publisher has now released the artwork of the issue’s Ed McGuinness wraparound cover, shipping in a 50/50 ratio with an Alex Ross cover.

Since the introduction of the Red Hulk at the hands of writer Jeph Loeb and McGuinness, readers have been left wondering the identity of the walking powerhouse. Well, it appears they aren’t the only ones. Spider-Man swings into this landmark issue to get to the bottom of the mystery of the Red Rampager. Oh… and that green guy in purple pants is in it too.

Not only will the shocking ending of the 104-page special’s new story from Loeb and McGuinness keep fans talking, but the issue also features a back-up Savage She-Hulk story from Fred Van Lente and re-presents the first issue of Loeb and Sale’s classic Hulk: Gray series.

With the Hulk bounding back into the Incredible Hulk series in an issue as big as the titular character himself, retailers will want to have plenty of copies of all its cover versions handy for his fans.

Incredible Hulk #600 is scheduled to arrive in shipments beginning July 15

Top Cow, Marvel Teams Explode in Fusion

Teams from two of comics’ greatest realms clash with spectacular repercussions when Image Comics and Top Cow Productions join Marvel Comics for Fusion: Cyberforce/Hunter-Killer/Avengers/Thunderbolts #1, the start of a three-issue limited series that’s available for reorder now.

Separately, Top Cow and Marvel have created many of comics’ most recognizable and complex heroes and villains. Together, the two companies have become renowned among retailers and consumers for bringing together many of their most popular heroes in bestselling crossovers like Witchblade/Punisher, Cyberforce/X-Men and Magdalena/Daredevil. The fan-favorite creative team of writers Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning and artist Tyler Kirkham should maintain that heat as Top Cow’s two covert tech teams battle Marvel’s enforcers of the Initiative. The action begins when the Mighty Avengers race to stop Ripclaw after he tears apart a small town -- only to encounter resistance from Cyberforce in this 32-page, full-color with a cover by Mike Choi & Sonia Oback.

Evil Plots Plague Gunslingers in Marvel's Dark Tower:  The Fall of the Gilead #1

Fan-favorite creators return readers to the world created by master wordsmith Stephen King with The Dark Tower: The Fall of Gilead #1, $3.99), as the home of gunslingers begins to collapse under the weight of a plot to destroy the Deschains.

With The Dark Tower: Treachery HC, $24.99, The Dark Tower expert Robin Furth, New York Times-bestselling author Peter David, and fan-favorite artist Richard Isanove expanded upon Stephen King’s magnum opus and shocked readers with the story arc’s conclusion.

The six-part “The Fall of Gilead” picks up right where the last mini-series left off. The scheming of John Farson and the sorcerer Marten Broadcloak have paid off, as the dangerous seeing sphere known as Maerlyn’s Grapefruit has been stolen from Steven Deschain. Even more disturbing, his wife – the original thief – has been shot down by his son, Roland. With things spiraling out of control, is there anything that can be done to save Gilead or redeem the youngest gunslinger?

This new series builds off the groundwork set by these acclaimed creators in the previous series. Customers that followed those stories eagerly should likewise pick up each chapter of “The Fall of Gilead” to learn more about Roland’s dark, early years and what led up to King’s Dark Tower novels.
